As part of my final year studying Illustration at DJCAD I created a small curation of my work from fourth year. This collection explored a range of surface design on both ceramics and textiles.
Granny's Garden Project
My ‘Granny’s Garden’ collection is a series of surface designs for ceramics and textiles inspired by traditional British gardens. The project grew from a recent move to an old village property, where the garden—lovingly cared for by the elderly couple who lived there before me—was bursting with life. It became a tranquil sanctuary filled with wildlife, lush plants, and vibrant flowers, all of which I’ve captured and celebrated through my designs.
V&A - Bruce Talbert
This project was to design two merchandise products for the V&A gift shop inspired by artists and designers from the Scottish Design Exhibition. I was inspired by Designer, Bruce Talbert, who is known for his intricate wallpaper and furniture designs. I decided to develop a silk scarf design that combines intricate design elements and motifs of his furniture. I also developed a prototype for a leather embossed tasselled book mark.
